Description
The Short North Arts District glows with lights and life in the evening. The arches lights change color as you watch them, here I captured them while they were pink.
Columbus, Ohio
The Short North is Columbus's version of New York's artsy Soho district, this historic urban neighborhood is filled with boutiques, art galleries, coffee houses, restaurants and theaters.
The Short North is where people go for food, art, fun, and more.
The Gallery Hop every 1st Saturday of the month features art gallery receptions, most businesses keeping their doors open late into the night, jam-packed streets, and sidewalks populated with street musicians and other performers.
A symbol of the area are the 17 lighted metal archways extending across High Street throughout the Short North, reminiscent of such arches present in the area in the early 1900s.
Mixed media on wood panel. Acrylic, markers, and paper.
